Common Reasons for Rejection

WRONG FORMS USED
Every year we update our forms. Please use the most current forms and use the templates as directed.
MISSING A STEP
You must follow each step in the process.
MISSING INFORMATION
Please make sure you answer of all the questions and submit them in the correct format.
INFORMATION IS NOT CLEARLY EXPRESSED
We strongly encourage you to have someone review your application for readability, completeness and accuracy. Grants without complete, current financial statements are not considered. Financials cannot be older that two months from the submission date.
FUNDING WAS REQUESTED RETROACTIVELY
We cannot fund activities that have already occurred.
INSUFFICIENT BOARD DIVERSITY
See our Diversity Statement for more information.
THE APPLICATION MET ALL OF OUR CRITERIA AND WAS HIGHLY REGARDED, BUT WE DID NOT HAVE SUFFICIENT FUNDING.
Every round is highly competitive and we had to reject the project at this time. You may resubmit the same project 12 months from now (using the new year’s templates and following all the steps), or you may submit a different project for our next round.
PROJECT SUSTAINABILITY AFTER OUR FUNDING WASN'T CLEAR
Not enough detail around measurable outcomes, evaluation, or data collection. Insufficient plans in place to support an on-going project.
