Sho Dozono, Board Chairman
President and CEO of Azumano Travel/American Express
Sho was a Portland school teacher before becoming a businessman and community leader. He is a past commissioner of the Port of Portland and has served as Vice Chairman Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Portland Public Schools Foundation. Sho was one of the original trustees that began serving on the Spirit Mountain Community Fund Board in 1997.
Steve Bobb, Trustee
Tribal Council Member, Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde
Steve Bobb is a Grand Ronde member and was raised on his grandparent’s farm in the local area. A talented artist, Steve balances his duties as a Tribal Council member with his passion for painting, sculpting and other media. For over 30 years, Steve worked as a sign painter, fabricator and desiger. Steve has been married to his wife, Connie, for 42 years and together they have 3 children and 12 grandchildren. As a former Marine and Vietnam veteran, Steve participates in the local veteran’s committee and designed the Veteran’s memorial that graces the Grand Ronde Tribal campus.
Kate Brown, Trustee
Oregon Secretary of State/Former Oregon State Senator
Kate Brown was appointed State Representative for District 13 in 1991. She was elected to the House in 1992 and 1994, and to the State Senate from District 7 in 1996. In 2009, Kate took office as Secretary of State for Oregon. She currently serves on the Business, Law and Government Committee, the Livability Committee, and the Ways and Means Subcommittee on General Government.
Henry “Chip” Lazenby, Trustee
County Counsel, Multnomah County
Henry "Chip" Lazenby is presently County Counsel for Multnomah County in Portland. He has previously served as general counsel for Portland State University, general counsel for Governor John Kitzhaber, MD and for the Portland Development Commission. In addition to being an attorney, he holds an MBA from the University of Oregon. Chip currently serves on a number of boards that focus on education and children. He lives with his wife Lynette and son Michael in Portland. They love the outdoors and travel. Chip is a baseball fan.
Darlene Hooley, Board Vice-Chairwoman
Former U.S. Congresswoman
Darlene Hooley began her career as a teacher and quickly became involved in politics. Her political career included being elected to: West Linn City Council, the Oregon State legislature and then was elected to Oregon’s fifth Congressional district and served 12 years in Congress. Darlene has been a passionate advocate for Veteran’s issues and as a former teacher, has a deep love of education and social policies that affect children. Darlene has two children and resides in West Linn, Oregon.
Reynold Leno, Trustee
Tribal Council Vice-Chair, Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde
Reyn was elected to the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Tribal Council in 1996. Prior to his service with Tribal Council he worked in the timber industry. Reyn and his wife Liz raised their three children in Willamina and are proud grandparents.
Ron Reibach, Trustee
Director of Facilities at Spirit Mountain Casino
Ron has been with Spirit Mountain Casino since it opened in 1995. Prior to going to work for the Tribe Ron worked as a construction electrical superintendent on jobs all over the country. His last official construction job was the building of the original Casino.
Ron was born in McMinnville and raised in the Sheridan/Willamina areas, as well as in Tillamook. He married his best friend, Anne, 27 years ago. Together, they raised their three amazing children in Tillamook. Ron and Anne are proudly sending their youngest child off to college in the Fall of 2011.
Ron is honored to serve the residents of Oregon as a trustee for the Spirit Mountain Community Fund.
Toby McClary, Trustee
Tribal Council Member, Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde
Toby was elected to Grand Ronde’s Tribal Council in 2009. Prior to his being elected, Toby supervised the Receiving and Distribution Departments at Spirit Mountain Casino. He also spent four years prior to that as the Photojournalist for the tribe’s news publication, Smoke Signals. Toby’s passion for improving the tribe and the community is what generated his interest to occupy a seat on Spirit Mountain Community Fund’s Board of Trustees.
“I look at this as an opportunity to help our neighbors. When our tribe was being restored, many folks believed in us as a tribe and supported us as a people. The creation of the Spirit Mountain Community Fund was an outstanding way to show our appreciation.”
Toby currently resides in Dallas, Oregon with his fiancée, Sandy, and his two stepsons, Landon and Logan.
